We recently received a phone call from the props masters of a CBC detective show. They were in need of a custom burnt body for an upcoming episode, and they had trouble sourcing it locally. Would it be possible for us to make it according to their specifications and then ship it out? Absolutely!

The time line was short, so we used a standard Halloween skeleton as base and went from there. Customized her pose and her skull with heat, hardware and putty. Built up her meaty parts with furniture foam. Got an approximate duplicate of her wardrobe from the thrift store (it was going to be burnt almost past recognition anyway). And then had fun adding the charring with expanding foam and black latex.

And the name, you ask? The crew was referring to her as ‘Bacon Lady’. No idea if that’s a nick name or what she goes by in the actual episode. Will follow up when it airs.
