Upcoming Horror Flicks to Get Excited About! 🎬
Hey everyone! We hope you have had a great summer so far!
When we were not planning any bloody murders (like the one that’s scheduled for tomorrow), we’ve entertained ourselves with drinks in the backyard, attending local Hamilton events and in Brian’s case, playing lots of pinball.
And we’re super excited that not one, not two, but THREE features that we did the FX for over the past two years have made it through post production! A huge applause for all teams involved in these productions. 👏🏼 These films have been released and are now circulating the film festivals.
New Releases
Both Hy3na and StarSuckers screened at Tubi FrightFest in London!
Hy3na is Matt Ninaber’s neon-drenched thriller about a girl and the creep obsessed with her. In StarSuckers the Butler Brothers address everything that’s wrong with today’s influencer culture in a razor sharp satire filled with unexpected gory moments.
Greed & Gore will premiere at the Fall HorrorHound Film Festival in Cincinnati next weekend! We took everything that was good about the award winning short film by the same name (if you haven’t seen it yet, WATCH IT if you have 16 minutes to spare!), and then we stepped it up a few notches. We can’t wait for local screenings, and hear audience reactions!
All three of these features are worth a watch if they’re coming to a festival near you, so keep your eyes out for them.
TIFF – Hamilton House Party
We are excited to be one of the sponsors of the Hamilton House event at TIFF 2026!! We will have a small display setup showing off some of our work, as well as a cool new promo video in the digital screen loop. Hopefully we’ll help draw many new filmmakers to come to Hamilton for their future productions! 🤞🏻 The event takes place on Monday Sept 14th from 2-6pm at The Ballroom (Toronto). Tickets are available.
News from Femur Creek
On a rainy Sunday afternoon two weeks ago, we loaded up our car with bodies and blood and made our way to Dundas. The first two heads have been chopped off by The Shape in a messy double decapitation on two unsuspecting hikers, and we’ll be doing more kills tomorrow night. This sequel is going to be a hoot!
Feeling Blue
We linked to our Avatars to visit the big city for FanExpo Friday. It was great fun, even though we couldn’t go two minutes without posing for a picture. Unfortunately the guests we were hoping to meet (several artists from Weta FX, who worked on the Avatar franchise) had to cancel at the last minute, so we were feeling a bit blue indeed.
