Back to what we can do for you. Whether your production is a horror, fantasy, thriller or other genre short, feature or TV show, or if it’s a promo, commercial or even a theatre show… If you need to hurt your actor without actually hurting them, or transform them into something that is subtly or grotesquely inhuman, or if you need a specific prop that can’t be found off the shelf… You’ve come to the right place!
Our team of FX artists are passionate about being creative in the weirdest and sometimes very disturbing ways. Alien puppet creature with hidden rod controls? Check. Custom corpse? Check. Ripped off arm? Bleeding barb-wire injury? Running someone over with a motorcycle? Check, check, check.
Not sure if your kills are creative enough? Book a brain storm session and our twisted imaginations will take your scene to the next level.
The only thing we don’t do is digital FX, though we will work together with your VFX artist to make sure the practical and digital effects will flow together smoothly.
Our head sculptor Brian takes pride in his extensive knowledge of human anatomy, and has extensively researched all the things that can happen to a human body (let’s hope the CSIS never gets their eyes on his google search history!). He loves making your makeup designs as realistic as possible. We are also available for moulage makeups / casualty simulation for emergency training programs.
With over 12 years of on-set experience, we bring experience and professionalism to your production. Our team is female led and LGBTQ inclusive, which can bring much needed diversity to your crew.
Our workshop is located in Hamilton (Ontario). We work all over the GTHA, and will travel across Ontario or across the border as needed. We also ship custom props across the continent, like this custom, life sized BBQ’d corpse that we recently shipped to a CBC production in the Maritimes.
