I cannot say enough great things about Brian (and Locked In The Cellar Creations).
I worked with him recently on a horror short that I directed. From the moment he came on board my project Brian gave me a truly exceptional experience. He’s a consummate professional -clear communicator, quickly responded to my emails and calls with ideas and solutions. He was always friendly and supportive of the goals of the project. He went above and beyond, running make-up tests and pre-building some elements of the make-up so that it wouldn’t take time on set to build.
When he was on set, the actors were pulling me aside and going out of their way to say that Brian was exceptionally kind, patient and friendly. He was challenged with working under exceptionally difficult conditions (cold, low light and bare minimum time due to location restrictions) and he 100% came through for us. He worked fast, efficiently, calmly -and yet still artfully.
Just when I thought my experience with Brian couldn’t get any better, after we wrapped he stayed behind to help the actors remove their make-up safely and comfortably. He was one of the last people to leave set that day and in my experience that is a rare and exceptional treat from a make-up artist. Brian is one of a kind, a true professional and artist. Everybody on set had nothing but nice things to say about him and his work.
I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him if I were you -I won’t hesitate when my next projects come around.
